Minnesotans Military Appreciation Fund

Minnesotans Military Appreciation Fund (MMAF) is a statewide fundraising initiative by the citizens of Minnesota for our Minnesota military personnel and their families. Founded by a non-partisan group of area business and community leaders, MMAF calls on citizens to show their support and appreciation for the sacrifices made by Minnesota military personnel deployed in combat zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11, 2001.

Launched August 3, 2005, MMAF will raise funds with a variety of multi-media initiatives and special events through the end of the year, including collection boxes at prominent locations throughout the state, a fundraising Minnesotans’ Military Appreciation Dinner featuring Vietnam veteran and Arizona Senator John McCain, and the first-ever “Minnesotans’ Military Appreciation Walk” through downtown Minneapolis on September 10th.

Once funds have been raised, Minnesota military personnel who have been deployed to a combat zone since September 11, 2001 are eligible to apply for financial grants from MMAF.

Haberman & Associates is proud to volunteer its public relations services for MMAF.
