Public Library, Central Library Grand Opening (Minneapolis,
Minn.)
The new Minneapolis Central Library, designed by world-renowned
architect Cesar Pelli, is a dynamic, resource-rich civic building
that is a community gathering place and destination spot in downtown
Minneapolis. As the first Minneapolis library to be built in more
than 40 years, it will open to the public on May 20, 2006. The new
Central Library seeks to inspire learning, invite interaction and
link everyone to knowledge and information.
