Eric Davis
On May 20, 2007, Eric Davis celebrated his 14th anniversary in
PR by leaping from the roof of The Textile Building (home to
Haberman & Assoc.) into a large vat of news releases, media
alerts, fact sheets and various memoranda he's written over
the years. After doing so, he brushed himself off, apologized
to passersby, and returned to his office, where he works on
a variety of consumer, B2B and green-focused accounts.
Davis is an "above average" PR person who joined Haberman & Associates in January 2001. Over the years, he's worked with several consumer and tech clients, including spending nearly six years leading the Volvo Cars of North America account. His projects included the Volvo for life Awards; the debut of the Your Concept Car (first car designed by women-only); Irv Gordon turning two million miles in his Volvo (winner, PR Week's “Brand Development Campaign of the Year,” 2003); and Volvo Drive for Life Days (winner, PR Week's “Cause Related Campaign of the Year,” 2005).
He is a native of Nashville, Tenn., where he spent the first half of his career in automotive, entertainment and health care PR while consuming massive quantities of barbeque and other Southern cooking.
Davis also is an author who has never been published, a bass guitarist never in a rock band, and a five-tool third baseman never signed to an MLB contract. In his spare time, he is a professional surfer.
